Residential construction projects greater than 50 square metres (538 square feet) as well as any Non-Residential projects must first submit the applicable Planning Application. Planning Servicesīefore you get started and apply for a building permit, please ensure your project proposal complies with the requirements of the Township's of th e Zoning By-Law. We collaborate with our Planning Services Department to confirm that projects comply with minimum setbacks and permitted uses as per our Zoning By-law.
The building department is responsible for ensuring that the minimum standards of the Ontario Building Code (O.B.C) are met prior to and during construction.
